Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. We hope you have a wonderful holiday and are able to spend time with the ones you love the most. Please take time to tell your loved ones that you love them and to show your gratitude for all that they do.
I know that this year is definitely a big one for us! I am so thankful for my best friend and husband, my baby girl, my wonderful family and friends, and my other baby girl - my Zoe! I am thankful that Anthony and I are fortunate enough to have a home, secure jobs and amazing opportunities that we often feel we don't deserve. We are very blessed.

19 Week Pics and Video!

And here are the short videos of our baby girl. You can see her heart beating and her moving her mouth in the first two.
In this one, you can see her tummy and her arms - one is in front of her face, which you can see in the background.
And this is our little wiggle worm. She was doing this during the first half of the ultrasound!

Baby Rodriguez is a...
GIRL! We are absolutely thrilled! We both have had a gut feeling that it was a girl for some time, though, but it's so great to finally know! I guess it makes it even that much more real being able to call her "she!"
At our appointment, they also took all of our baby girl's measurements and looked at all of her organs. My doctor says everything looks great, and she is right on target with her growth. Right now she weighs 9 ounces! During the u/s, she was wiggling all over the place. She started with one leg up above her head, then wiggled and jumped around a few times before hiding her face with her arms. Then she started "talking," moving her mouth. It was so awesome to see her moving around in there! We have a few pictures from our ultrasound, but as usual, I haven't scanned them in. I'll have to do that Sunday when I have a few free minutes. We also got a dvd this time, but the video doesn't really work. It's only a few seconds per clip, and it runs super slow. I guess I'll have to take my own camera next time.
I actually lost a pound in the last 4 weeks, so the doctor wants me to eat more. I don't know how that's possible - I already eat everything and eat all day long! The placenta is also a little low at this point. My doc said there is a good chance it will move up as I get bigger, but we'll have to have another ultrasound (yea!) around 30 weeks.
I guess my belly is starting to finally round out a little. A lady at work came up to me and asked yesterday. She said she wouldn't have noticed (or asked) if she didn't know me, so I guess that means I still don't really look pregnant yet! I still haven't felt any definite movement, but my doctor said that's perfectly normal. She expects that I'll feel something within the next 2-3 weeks. I am looking forward to it (well, minus the hard kicks and jabs toward the end!!). :)
On another note, we ordered our baby girl's bedding this week! We've been eyeing this particular set since we found out we were pregnant, but we were wary to order it before we knew the sex because it looked a little girly to us (even though we found it in the boy section!). Since it is from the boy section, I'll tell you it's definitely NOT pink or frilly. That's so not our style! I'll take pictures and post when it comes in.
And finally, I'm sad to report no one took a guess for bonus points on my last post. If you know us, you should know that my little quote is from the dot race at the Ballpark in Arlington!! Somebody (or bodies) could use some baseball!

Remember, This is an Exhibition Only...
No wagering please!
(bonus points if you know where that comes from!)
We're just a week away from our big ultrasound, and I'm curious to know what you think! Boy? Girl? Anthony and I will be ecstatic either way, but we definitely think it's one over the other. We just have this feeling...
So here's your chance to weigh in! Let us know what you think!
Otherwise, today marks 18-weeks. I'm still feeling pretty good. I'm absolutely exhausted, but it could be because I just started a 5-week, twice a week (four hours each day) accounting class on top of my other two classes (and work). What was I thinking?! Just 4 and a half weeks until I have a break...
I am not really showing yet, and I still haven't felt any movement. I'm sure it will all come in due time, though (ha). I can't believe we're almost to the halfway point! Boy, how time is flying!! Baby Rodriguez will be here before we know it!

Weekend in Waco
Well, one day at least...
Saturday Ant and I headed to Waco and had lunch with my long time friend Leigha and her husband Ty. We haven't seen each other in forever (probably Christmas of last year)! After lunch we headed to the Baby Depot and did a little shopping/looking. Leigha is about 28 weeks now, and baby Bradley is due at the end of January. Somehow, we got away without taking any pictures. I don't know what we were thinking!!
After our shopping trip, I headed to Andrea's salon to get my twice a year hair cut. ;) Now that I have someone in my family who can and will do my hair - for free - I never get it done!
After that, all of us kids headed to Pappa Rollo's pizza to meet Mom & Mike for dinner to celebrate Andrea's 24th b-day.

After dinner we drove all the way back home. It was a long day, but it was great to spend it with some of my favorite people!!

Baby Rodriguez at 14 Weeks
I know, I know... I'm terrible at actually scanning in and posting these, but better late than never! These were taken on 10/14/08 at exactly 14 weeks. We still haven't gotten a great profile shot yet, but I did get to see the outline of the face, a tiny little foot, and a little wave to Momma (or s/he was tapping it's head - I like to think I was getting a little wave!).
Baby R's face

A tiny one centimeter-long foot! It's kind of hard to see because she left the little measurement line thing on there...

Two little legs, all stretched out!

If you look closely, you can see the right arm up by the head. We could clearly see the hand moving, tapping the head! It was pretty awesome!

Only two more weeks until the big reveal (we hope)! We can't wait!!

Happy House Anniversary!
I can't believe we bought our house one year ago! We closed on the 30th and then started repainting and moving in a couple days later. Boy, how time flies! We still absolutely LOVE the house and are slowly starting to fill it up (I'm sure it will fill up pretty quickly come April...). I'm still way behind on positing befores and afters of some of the things we've changed - I'll get to it one of these days!
Happy Halloween
And happy birthday Sister (the spook)!!! I can't believe you're getting so old!

We were really excited to hand out candy to the neighborhood kiddos this year. We never had trick or treaters at any of our apartments, so this was a first for us! We bought way too much candy and, instead of decorating the porch, carved 3 pumpkins! Here are our masterpieces...

Ant went with the skull design again. I did the scary teethy guy.

I came home from school Thursday night and Ant had a surprise for me! Another one! Here is the real masterpiece...

We still have a little candy left over (too bad, huh?!), and all the little kids were so cute! Our first trick or treater was probably about 2, and when Ant opened the door, she just walked right on in! We also got a lot of compliments on the pumpkins! :)
