Sorry, Daddy's Side of the Family

My family has really easy to say names. Daddy's family, on the other hand, apparently does not.



She really can say everyone's names, but she never will if we turn on the camera or have them on the phone... One of these days we'll get it. :)

She loves to "colo" and "wite." But then I look away for a minute and come back to find our own little tattoo artist practicing her skills...

Holiday Treats

I love my kitchen aid mixer, I really do. I love her so much I even named her Gretel.

So far in the last week or so, she's helped me churn out over 300 green tree spritz cookies, 9 dozen chocolate snowflake cookies and 4 loaves of honey wheat bread. I know she would have helped me with the 12 jars of apple butter or slab of peppermint bark I made, but I didn't need her help for those little projects.

Ah, holiday baking and treat making. I love it.

Holiday Fun

At the beginning of the month, we enjoyed a weekend dinner and some shopping at a shopping center very close to home. They have a pretty Christmas set up, so afterward we braved the cool weather to enjoy it all. Someone loved the Christmas music they had playing!

Let's Go Mavs!

On December 7th, we celebrated the kiddo's 20-month "birthday" by taking her to her very first Mav's game. ;) Well, we might have also gotten free tickets and couldn't find a babysitter at the last minute, but it still turned out to be a really fun evening.


She was very content and enjoyed watching the big "balloons" and the people around us.

And there were plenty of empty seats, so she got her own!

She may not look like it in this picture, but she loved this guy! After the picture she high fived him and even tried to lean in for a kiss!

Turkey Day Weekend

We spent Thanksgiving with Anthony's parents down south. We had a great time hanging with the family and playing outside!


Oh, this kid.... I know this will embarrass her in years to come, but for now, it's pretty hilarious. And no, she didn't learn this from me.

This girl loves dogs, especially Cocoa and Zoe. She loves kissing them, too, as you can see here...

On our drive back home, we made a pit stop at Lolly's house! We played with the animals, fed the fish and ate sugar (I guess that's what grandmas are for, right?).

And we saw the new baby! We asked her if she wanted to go see the baby and she walked up and gave it one of her armless hugs! So sweet!

She found and wanted to play with more dogs...


And then came the whipped cream.

Which she LOVED.




We had such a great long weekend with our families. We have so much to be thankful for again this year.

Dede watched the kiddo when we were at the Elton concert last month, and it looks like the two of them had a good time!

Who Needs Toys?

I love watching her little mind work. Sweet girl LOVES digging through the pantry to see what she can find. I think I've even posted before about how she loves to rearrange the cans that are within reach, but a few weekends ago she decided to do something a little different. After we got home from grocery shopping, she helped me put away one bag, and after I'd put away the second, I realized she was having way more fun that I was.





Yep, perfect fit!


Funny thing - she loves the little tomato paste can (the one on top). She will carry that around the kitchen and loves to pretend like it's her big girl cup. What an imagination!

Someone knows exactly what to do when Mommy grabs the camera. What a little ham!!
