Her First Movie

On July 14, I took my sweet girl to her very first movie at the theater. We were long overdue for some mommy-daughter time, and since she loves the Ice Age movies, it was the perfect afternoon date.



She did great during the movie, despite getting a little upset during a few of the "scarier" scenes when the Earth was splitting into continents. She just laid her head on my lap and all was well. I think her favorite part was the candy we smuggled in. :) She sang one of the songs all the way home, and she's asked several times to watch the movie again. It was a fun and special day with my girl that I'll always remember with a smile.

Sunflowers

At the first of July, I finally figured out where the local photographers were taking their gorgeous sunflower photos. We made the hike over an hour away only to find the flowers were already wilting! :( We tried to take a few photos anyway, but since Baby Brother had just fallen asleep after a day of little napping, we just called it a bust. I was pleasantly surprised when we got home and realized I got a few keepers. I've already set a reminder in my phone to get out there a few weeks earlier next year.
