To Montana...And Back!

Sunday afternoon, we all headed back to Billings. Jason, Mark, Ant and I stopped on our way to visit Pompey's Pillar - a big rock in the middle of nowhere! William Clark (Lewis & Clark) "discovered" this pillar on his journey across the state in 1806. He carved his name in it and journaled about it. We braved the freezing temps (well, it felt like it), and climbed all the way to the top!

The pillar is just near the Yellowstone River. I love old bridges and had to take a pic of this one!

We had some free time and decided to carve a few canoes...

Monday morning we packed back up and spent the rest of the day traveling home. We checked into the Billings airport at 9:30 am and finally walked in our house at midnight! We were glad to be home, but we were so glad to be able to spend this special weekend with the entire family!
