We watched Cocoa while Ralph & Kathy were out of town. Cocoa is the perfect compainion for Zoe because she's so mellow and calm. We had a blast playing ball and frisbee, and we got a great laugh when we discovered that a 70 pound dog could fit through a dog door designed for 15 pounders.
Andrea and Justin are joining us as we fly to LA to cruise down the Mexican Riviera. We are so excited and cannot wait! I've been dying to take a vacation since our last one (our honeymoon 4 years ago!). It's gonna be awesome!
Here's a post that's about 3 weeks overdue... We spent the weekend and several days before New Year's with Anthony's parents in their new home in North Zulch. We were able to spend 4 awesome days with the parents, brothers, the nieces and Grandma Shaw! Our camera battery died before we could get many pictures, but here are a few.
Our two favorite nieces
I love this kid sooo much!
Kaylie's favorite present was her princess dress! She wanted to wear it all weekend!
Katherine really wanted this Mr. Bean movie, so we got it for her. We sat down to watch it, and Mr. Bean could only hold her attention for about 20 minutes. I pretty much feel the same way about him...
Zoe got an awesome new collar from her cousin Jewel (and Uncle Mark and Trista!)
Miss Kaylie really enjoyed our gift this year.
Thank you all for all of the generous gifts. Being able to spend time with you all was the best gift of all!!
My puppy girl is 3 today! It was love at first sight when we picked her out of her litter of five on March 6, 2005. Zoe was the runt and the only dark puppy of the litter. We knew there was something special about the little one, and now our family wouldn't be the same without her! The following pic is from March '05, when we brought her home. She was so tiny!!
I made Zoe some homemade peanut butter treats for her birthday this year. She loved them!!
Most people don't know this, but Zoe was "Sophie" for a few days. We decided that the name didn't fit her personality, so Sophie became Zoe. :)
My baby brother turned 21 yesterday. I can't believe he's all grown up!! He's the best brother I could've ever asked for, and I'm so thankful for all the fun (and funny) times we've shared.
My month-long break from school was awesome. Although I didn't finish any of the projects I set out to finish, I still had plenty of time to relax and work on house stuff! But now it's time to get back in the groove of things. I start my second semester of grad school tonight. I've signed up for three classes this semester - eeek! I figure I better step it up this semester (and future semesters) so that I can actually graduate in the next few years! I don't want to drag it out any longer than I have to!! This semester I'm taking marketing, advanced statistics and a careers management class. I'm really looking forward to the careers class. Hopefully it will help me figure out what kind of job I would really be good at and enjoy.
