That being said, we learned to adapt. Anthony picked up a lot of slack when I just couldn't handle the crying, and he probably pulled more all nighters than I did. My new Moby wrap quickly became my favorite new accessory since he'd calm down enough to fall fast asleep right up against my chest. We didn't really know exactly what to expect Madelyn to do once we brought home a new baby, but she was nothing short of amazing. The first few weeks she'd come walking in the door from daycare and ask, "Where is he?" "Where is my baby brother?" and immediately want to hug and kiss and cuddle him. She has been an awesome little helper, grabbing diapers, wipes, pacis, blankets, etc., when we've needed them, and showering Baby Brother with probably more love than we should have allowed...
Baby Brother ended up getting a cold (probably from all those kisses from Big Sister) and an eye infection at one week old, and it was hard to see him sick. Thankfully, he was better after about a week of eye ointment, the humidifier running and a lot of saline and bulb suction. His right eye has a clogged tear duct, too, so we're constantly wiping away cruddy tears that collect there. His pediatrician says it's normal in newborns and it should resolve itself before he turns one.
He was in newborn sized clothes for about 2 weeks before we switched him to 0-3 month. His growth has been pretty consistent with Big Sister's when she was little, but I'm excited to see if he continues to grow (and look) like her or if he takes off on a new path all his own!
And yes, we took these photos at separate times, hence the different onesies. ;) Our favorite new blanket arrived in the mail shortly after we took the first round of photos, so we had to go back and get a montly photo with it (thank you, Smart family!).

She loves him so much and couldn't stand not being in the pictures!
