Five Months

Holy cow. How is he already five months old?! I say it every time, but I fall more and more in love with this boy every day. We never realized what was missing from our family until we met him, and he has been a blessing in all of our lives.

This month the little mister has found his hands and constantly has a finger, or two, or a whole fist, in his mouth. He doens't have any teeth coming through quite yet, but I'm sure they're making their way up. DROOL has taken over this entire last month, though, so we pretty much always have a bib on him these days. I think I need some sort of arm bib for me, since most of it ends up down my arm when I'm holding him!

His sleeping patterns have kind of evened out lately. He goes down around 7-7:30 every night and wakes up around 5:30 am. He'll usually nurse and then hang out with me while I get ready in the morning. It's fun having that time just to hang out with my favorite little guy. He is very content just bouncing away in his bouncer or playing on his mat. He loves his little mirror on there and will roll on his side to see himself. He has not rolled over completely yet, but he actually tolerates tummy time, unlike Big Sis when she was little.

I am so much more comfortable going out with both of them when I'm by myself. He does great in the carrier, and Big Sis has gotten really good at walking beside me when we're shopping or running errands. I'm really liking the 3 year age difference right now. We originally wanted these two to be closer in age, but it just didn't happen. You know the song "Unanswered Prayers," right? :) She is such a big helper and seems to understand that Baby Brother's needs have to be met, too.

Bathtime is a big hit in our house. Both babies get a bath together every other day, and they love it! He could just sit there and watch his silly sister for hours. She is so silly and loves to make silly faces or sounds at him just to get a little grin. When she gets a big laugh, it tickles us all to pieces.
